I made this for my friend Genna, kind of in celebration of her 40th, but mostly just in celebration of her.

This quilt started very tiny - with 3 1/2" "sparkles" - squares made up of teeny tiny scraps. I make these sparkle squares for fun all the time and make various things out of them - pouches, pillows, blocks. This time, I decided I wanted to use them as the foundation of a whole quilt. It took me awhile to figure out a layout I liked - but when those navy diagonals with the hot corners came to me, it really lit up.

This is 100% Betsy original design with a ton of magical little details - pinwheels and applique circles and string stripes and more. And the back is just the prettiest fabric I've ever seen!
